Concetta Press is named in honor of Concetta Colicchio, whose values of integrity, diligence, humility, and generosity inspire the mission of the press.

Mission

Concetta Press is an independent scientific publisher dedicated to fair peer review, rapid editorial decisions, and global accessibility of scientific research. The press was founded to provide a sound and author-friendly publishing environment in which scientific work is evaluated primarily on intellectual merit rather than arbitrary editorial constraints.

Founder

Concetta Press was founded by Edward J. Ciaccio, PhD, who previously served as editor of two international scientific journals:

• Computers in Biology and Medicine (Elsevier)
• Informatics in Medicine Unlocked (Elsevier)

During his editorial tenure, both journals grew substantially in international reach and scholarly impact, each progressing from Q4 to Q1 rankings within some of their respective subject categories.
